Kamal Deep is a hand-carved white marble diya shaped like an open lotus, fitted with a solid brass bowl at its heart. The cool stone and the warm metal together do something a plain diya cannot — the marble stays calm and matte while the brass catches every flicker and throws it back across the room.
Each piece is carved by hand from a single block of white marble, so the petal edges and the natural veining are never identical twice. The brass bowl sits flush in the recess and lifts out, which means you can wash it, polish it, and refill it season after season.

How to use
Fill the brass bowl with ghee or oil and lay a cotton wick against the rim, or simply drop in a tealight. After use, let the marble cool, lift out the brass bowl and wipe it clean with a soft cloth.
Care
Wipe the marble with a damp cloth — no harsh acids or abrasive scrubbers, as marble is porous and reacts to lemon or vinegar. Polish the brass occasionally with a mild brass cleaner to bring back the shine; a natural patina over time is normal.

Is my piece exactly like the one in the photo?
Every Mittified piece is handcrafted, so small variations in colour, texture or finish are completely normal — that's the nature of handmade, not a flaw. No two pieces are perfectly identical.
How do I care for it?
Hand-wash gently and dry immediately after use — avoid dishwashers and harsh chemical detergents. Metal pieces (kansa, copper, brass) may develop a natural patina over time, which is normal for handcrafted metal. Check your product description for any material-specific care notes.
